Management Board Chair’s Message

With spring just around the next corner or two, it’s time to turn our thoughts to golf!

Course Management Chair Joe Audia, Greens Superintendant Jay Bailey and crew have been busy removing snow and putting tarps down on the Thompson side greens in order to get them growing as quickly as possible.

Premier Gold has finished their drilling program on the course and driving range.  Once the  rehabilitation of holes 1 and 2 are complete we will be back to par 72 again! Thanks to the generosity of Premier Gold we will now have enough tarps to cover all nine Thompson greens which should put our greens in great shape very early in the season.

We welcome some new employees this season – Abbey Hildebrandt is our new Manager, Tony Marino will be working as Assistant Course Superintendant, Angelena Morneau and Jarrett Crawley will be in the Bar/Proshop, and Jacob Kurish will be our new Caddyshack attendant.

Under Rates/Fees you will find our 2011 membership rates and service fees. As most of  us in 2010 paid early to avoid the HST, this may seem like a large increase, it is however actually less than $25 in most cases as the balance of the increase is the HST which took effect July 2010.

The 2011 event calendar has now been posted on the website.  Be sure to take a look and see what club and major tournaments have been scheduled this season. Hopefully we will see a number of you taking part in our golf events.

The Management Board and our employees look forward to a successful, enjoyable season and we urge all members and guests to come and play/pay as soon as the weather allows!
